Ahmed Al Bidaoui is a Moroccan artist born in the 1930’s, who is considered as one of the pioneers and pillars of the Moroccan modern music.

Following the independence of the country, Ahmed’s music started to be promoted all over the Moroccan kingdom, because of the fact that the oriental music was more dominant all along the colonization era. Ahmed was not only a great composer, instrument player, and singer but he also led the Royal orchestra of modern Music for years.

In 1964, he re-arranged in his own magisterial way, the song “Al Farha Alkoubra” of Egypt’s Hoda Sultan, to become one of the favorite escorts of King Hassan ll. Later on, he released the great hit, which became a national classic "Yajaal Lak Fi Koulli khoutwa Salama". His most famous songs are "Ya Habibi Afiq", "Intidar" and "Tala Intidarouka"

Ahmed Al Bidaoui died in 1991, in the city of Sala. He was memorialized not only by his wife and children, but also by a whole nation that appreciate his great music directory and efforts in reviving the national modern music. Many festivals in Morocco pay him a tribute with documentary films, cultural debates, and Expositions about his rich career.
