Amer Mohamed Badii Mounib, more known as Amer Mounib , was born in September 2, 1963 in “Hay Eddoii”. He grew up in a family of artists.

In fact,Amer often accompanies her grandmother Mary Mounib when she occurs on the theater while he was 7 years old but already interested to the songs of Abdel Halim Hafez, Oum Kalthoum and Mohamed Abdel Wahab.

In 1986, Amer Mounib graduated from trade and teaches at the university. It was during an evening in 1987, that the musician and composer Helmi Bakr discovered the talent of Amer Mounib and encourages him to study music in a pedagogical way.

The artist does not hesitate and contact Atef Abdelhamid, who taught him music theory and singing techniques while teaching him the lute and the piano. He began singing in a band until he decides to make a solo career.

Amer Mounib released several albums the best known are "Hob El Omr" in 2003, "Haich in 2004," Kol Sanya Fi Omri "in 2005 and" Hadhi Min Essama "in 2008.
Amer Mounib also tried the cinema in hit movies like "Sahr El Oyoun" in 2002, "Wa Kimou Antimou" and "El Ghawas”.

After his long fight with colon cancer, Amer Mounib passed away on November 26th, 2011
