Mostafa Kamel is an Egyptian multi-talented artist born, in Cairo, on August 22,1970.

His first artistic experience was as a lyricist. He was already amazing because he wrote the lyrics to the sad song ‘Mersal’ performed by Alaa Abdulkhalek. Mostafa Kamel appeared on the scene as a great upcoming lyricist who was dealing with famous artists such as Hani Shaker, Amr Diab, and Mohamed Tawfik.

Later on, Mostafa Kamel turned into composing. His first songs were co-worked with Mohamed Foued. In 1994, he composed a hit single for Hani Shaker entitled ‘Ya Ritni’. After an experience of writing and composing, Mostafa entered the world of the performance of songs. He released six successful albums, which were very well received by the audience.

He also played in one movie ‘Kechta Ya Baba’, directed by Atef Chokri and co-acted by Salah Abdallah and Jihene Fadhel. He released his last album ‘Thalath Marrat’, in 2009. Mostafa Kamel is nicknamed the king of sadness due to the sad spirit of his songs and lyrics. He is still active and is considered as one of the best young male multi-talented artists in the Arab music world.
