The tarab reinvented
Naser Elahsas is a young singer born in Qatar in the 70s. An accomplished musician, he handles perfectly the Oud, the violin and the keyboard. His music reflects the real essence of tarab. He doesn’t limit himself replaying repertoires of his predecessors he explores, composes and reinvents, also, different cultural music trends of his native country.
His compositions are, indeed, issued from a long work of research and designing, reflected with harmony in his creations. His album released in 2011 “Ferqat Al Asdikaa Al Qataria” offers a true music trip at the image of Naser’s emotional universe.
It’s a collective opus performed by many well-known musicians like Ibrahim Bin Hamoud, Hussein Ali, Bushra Abdel Karim, Klaled Salem, Abdul Aziz Elias and Saleh Khamis. Naser sang, thus, many duos with the Turkish artist Aysan Tascesme. Naser spends, in addition, a precious time in profit of charity associations notably for sick children at Rumaila hospital.
