Samir Loussif is a Tunisian artist.

He mainly performs "Mezoued" music, a popular Tunisian musical genre. Originally, Mezoued is a Tunisian bagpipe consisting of a skin bag with joined double-chanter, ending in two cow horns, similar to a hornpipe. The term "Mezoued" is also used for the music played using this instrument. In his beginnings, Samir was banned from TV and radio shows, as was the case for the majority of artists playing "Mezoued" music.

Nevertheless, he was giving successful sold-out concerts. Later on, Tunisian TV channels started to invite him to perform in different TV shows, to satisfy an audience eager to hear this kind of music which reflects their everyday sufferance. Samir is endowed with a warm and powerful voice. He is also characterized by a great sensitivity which has become clear when he interprets his songs.

His lyrics, which he writes by himself, are particularly moving. Indeed, they sometimes express melancholy, but they also evoke happiness and joy. When performing, Samir is usually accompanied by 10 musicians and some dancers, with the goal of satisfying his audience and attracting them. Throughout his career, Samir released several successful songs such as "Hanen", "Ya Ghadhi Lahkam", "Aman Aman", "Ech Lazani Ala Mor", "J’ En Ai Marre", and "Ya Oumimti El Ghalia". Samir performed in several concerts in Tunisia as well as in Europe such as in France and Germany.
